  • Bio-Ethics Consultants

    Members of the Bio-Ethics Committee help patients, family and friends identify, analyze and resolve ethical issues related to patient care through information-gathering and discussion. Although the consultants do not make decisions for the people involved, they do offer advice, make recommendations and identify supportable options. Patients, family members and professionals remain responsible for their own decisions. There is no charge for ethics services.   • Bus Services

    TTA provides transit services Monday through Saturday from 6:15 a.m. to 11:15 p.m. in the greater Huntington, WV urban area.  TTA buses travel from Huntington to Milton and Barboursville. The TTA information telephone number for all calls about regular bus route service is 304.526.RIDE. The telephone number for all calls about Dial-A-Ride service for the disabled is 304.529.7700.

    Each time you board a TTA bus, your basic fare is $1.00 for adults and children 7 and older. Visit the TTA website for all fare details. Exact change for your bus fare is required. There are two fare zones. Call 304.529.RIDE for the exact fare for your bus trip with TTA.

    The TTA Center is located on 4th Avenue at the intersection of 13th Street.

  • Cafeteria

    The cafeteria is on the ground floor off the Cabell Huntington Hospital lobby. It is open daily, and the hours are posted. A patient's family members may purchase guest trays that will be delivered with the patient's tray. To order a tray, call 304.526.3017.

  • Cancer Resource Center

    The Cancer Resource Center offers the latest information about health, cancer and cancer prevention. Resources available include brochures, general reference and health books, medical reference books, internet access for medical and health information, audiotapes, videotapes, medical journals and newsletters and medical and consumer health databases. It is located on the ground floor.

  • Chapel/Meditation/Prayer Room

    The chapel is on the first floor off the Cabell Huntington Hospital lobby. Services are offered on special occasions as posted. The chapel remains open during the day so that anyone is welcome to visit and spend a few quiet moments in reflection.

  • Coffee Bar (Perk Place)

    Perk Place is located on the ground level in the atrium across from the SMART Center. Coffee, juice and pastries are available Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

  • Correspondence

    Mail is delivered daily to inpatient rooms. Stamps may be purchased at the Credit Union on the ground floor near the cafeteria. Outgoing mail may be placed in the mailbox outside the Marshall entrance.

  • Gift Shops

    An Added Touch, the main hospital gift shop, is located between the new parking garage and the Marshall Health building front entrance and offers a wide-variety of items to choose from to brighten someone's day. For more information, call 304.526.2114. A second, smaller shop called The Children's Depot is on the Fifth Floor in the Hoops Family Children's Hospital. For more information, call 304.399.1644.

  • Hearing-Impaired Services

    Deaf-Talk is a communication system to facilitate understanding between healthcare professionals and the deaf. DT Interpreting is an interpreting/translating service from English to 150 other languages. To use Deaf Talk or DT Interpreting, please call 304.526.2090 or speak to your healthcare professional.

  • Hotels

    Some area hotels have graciously provided a "hospital rate" for family members of our patients. See "Lodging" for special accommodations available to family members of patients under certain circumstances.

    You can buy daily editions of The Herald-Dispatch from the machine near the front entrance. Magazines are for sale in the gift shop.

  • Parking at the ECCC

    Special parking for patients and visitors is available near the main entrance. Enter through the security gate and park your car, or drive to the main entrance and park under the canopy to use our free valet parking.

  • Patient Accounts

    General billing questions can be addressed by calling 304.526.2175. If you wish to speak to a financial counselor about a payment plan, please call 304.526.6344.

  • Patient Advocacy

    If you have questions or concerns about the course of your treatment at the Edwards Comprehensive Cancer Center, please call Molly Brumfield, director of clinical services, at 304-399-6618.

  • Resolutions II

    Resolutions II provides services to women with hair loss or who have had a mastectomy. To learn more about available services and products, please call 304-733-2030.

  • Restaurants

    Several fast food restaurants are on Hal Greer Boulevard within walking distance of the hospital, including McDonald's, Tudor's, El Ranchito and GD Ritzy's.

  • Security

    Security guards are on duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week to serve our patients and visitors. To contact security, please call 304.526.2223.

  • Smoking Policy

    To protect the health of Cabell Huntington Hospital patients, visitors, employees, physicians and volunteers, smoking on campus is only permitted in the patient and visitor smoking area just outside the visitor entrance of the ED.

    Patients who experience difficulty refraining from smoking should consult with their physician, who may be able to recommend substitutes during their stay. Patients who do not comply with the policy will be reminded of the tobacco-free policy by the hospital staff. Community members interested in getting help to stop smoking are invited to enroll in Cabell Huntington Hospital’s smoking cessation program by calling 304.526.2088 or 304.696.2935.

  • Social Work

    Social workers are on duty Monday through Friday during regular business hours. To speak to a Social Work staff member, please call 304.526.2090. After hours, please go through the operator by dialing O.

  • Translation Services

  • Valet Parking

    Free valet parking is available Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. under the canopy in front of the hospital and at the main entrance of the Marshall University Medical Center. Please call 304.526.2555 or 2223.

  • Vending Machines

    Vending machines can be found on the ground floor near the cafeteria opposite the elevators or near the Emergency Department waiting room on the first floor.

  • Wheelchairs

    Wheelchairs are available near each entrance to the complex. Please pull your car up under the canopy and tell the security guard, transportation attendant or valet that you need a wheelchair.
