Elizabeth, Hannah and Sarah

Hannah Perry and sisters

Can you tell which of these girls had cancer?

It's okay ? no one can. That's because today, ten-year-old Hannah Perry (center) is a healthy, bright, beautiful little girl, just like her sisters.

In 2001, when Hannah was five years old, the future was uncertain. Hannah was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. She was treated by Dr. Andrew Pendleton, a fellowship-trained pediatric hematologist/oncologist with Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine. Because Dr. Pendleton is a principal investigator for the Children's Oncology Group, a national organization dedicated to research and treatment of pediatric cancers, he was able to offer Hannah the latest treatment protocol available for her disease.

With the love and support of her family and the expert care of Dr. Pendleton and his staff, it has been three years since Hannah needed treatment. Now she's back to doing the things she enjoys ? reading, riding her bike and, of course, playing with her sisters.
