Free prostate cancer screening exams September 24 at the ECCC
The Edwards Comprehensive Cancer Center at Cabell Huntington Hospital will provide a free prostate cancer screening event on September 24 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The exam includes a PSA blood test and a digital rectal exam for all participants. Appointments are required so please call (304) 526-2379 to schedule. Those who qualify for this free screening include:
- Men under age 80
- Men who have not previously been diagnosed with prostate cancer
- Men who have not had their prostate surgically removed
- Men who have not had a prostate exam in the past six months
Prostate cancer is a leading cause of cancer death in men, but early detection and new treatments, such as minimally invasive robotic surgery, are offering men a better chance for a cure. For more information about prostate cancer services, please visit http://edwardsccc.org/urologic_oncology/.
