Edwards Comprehensive Cancer Center honors cancer survivors with celebration June 1

The Edwards Comprehensive Cancer Center
Cancer survivors and their families are invited to the National Cancer Survivors Day event on Sunday, June 1 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Edwards Comprehensive Cancer Center.
The 2008 theme, Hope Soars, will celebrate those who have found hope and encouragement at the Edwards Comprehensive Cancer Center on the campus of Cabell Huntington Hospital.
Special activities for survivors and their families include a luncheon and a special scrapbooking project. Survivors are encouraged to bring copies of photos and personal mementos to the event so they can be included in a one-of-a-kind scrapbook project that will be displayed at the cancer center. Last year's survivors' project was made of hand-painted ceramic tiles by each attending cancer survivor. That project can be viewed inside the cancer center lobby.
National Cancer Survivors Day is an annual celebration of life that honors the many people living with and beyond cancer. This event at the Edwards Comprehensive Cancer Center is one of more than 700 similar events held nationwide.
To RSVP for this event, please call (304) 399-6500.
