About the ECCC
The Edwards Comprehensive Cancer Center (ECCC) shares a campus and a relationship with Cabell Huntington Hospital and Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine in Huntington, WV. Their relationship offers patients access to experienced and respected physicians, radiologists and surgeons, a skilled and caring nursing staff and the most current protocols for cancer diagnosis, treatment and care. In our modern and attractive facility, patients have access to a full range of diagnosis and treatment services, including surgery, radiation, chemotherapy, laboratory testing, clinical trials and support services.
The cancer center has established programs for infants through adults, and new patients and those seeking a second opinion are welcome. The physicians and staff are experienced in treating cancers of the lung, breast, ovaries and other reproductive organs, bone, prostate and bladder, among others. If surgery is necessary, the da Vinci® Surgical System, a minimally invasive option for complex surgical procedures, may be an option. The ECCC has been recognized by the National Cancer Institute for excellence in enrolling patients in clinical trials, ranking fifth out of 77 cancer centers participating nationwide. Patients receive a full range of support services and may join one of several support groups for people coping with cancer.
