    About the ECCC

eccc ext hpThe Edwards Comprehensive Cancer Center (ECCC) shares a campus and a relationship with Cabell Huntington Hospital and Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine in Huntington, WV. This relationship offers patients access to experienced and respected physicians, radiologists and surgeons, a skilled and caring nursing staff and the most current protocols for cancer diagnosis, treatment and care. In our modern and attractive facility, patients have access to a full range of diagnosis and treatment services, including surgery, radiation, chemotherapy, laboratory testing, clinical trials and support services.

The cancer center has established programs for infants through adults, and new patients and those seeking a second opinion are welcome. The physicians and staff are experienced in treating cancers of the lung, breast, ovaries and other reproductive organs, bone, prostate and bladder, among others. If surgery is necessary, the da Vinci® Surgical System, a minimally invasive option for complex surgical procedures, may be an option. allianceThe Edwards Comprehensive Cancer Center is a member of the Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology, one of five groups that comprise the National Clinical Trials Network. The Alliance encompasses nearly 10,000 cancer specialists at hospitals, medical centers and community clinics across the United States and Canada. This relationship gives patients at ECCC access to National Cancer Institute-sponsored clinical trials for many types of cancers.
